About
I have always resisted being boxed into a single technical silo.
To me, computing isn’t just an abstract layer of software, a network topology, or a set of compliance checklists—it is a continuum. My work spans the entire stack: from writing custom web applications and engineering applied AI training pipelines to designing enterprise security architectures, implementing ISO 27001 governance, and securing the physical machinery of Operational Technology (OT) and critical infrastructure.
I started with a BSc in Computer Science, followed by an MSc in Security and Network Engineering from the University of Amsterdam. That dual foundation gave me both the builder’s instinct—understanding algorithms, compilers, and software design—and the defender’s rigor—analyzing routing protocols, packet flows, and defensive architecture from the ground up.
Currently, I work as a Cyber Security Manager in Cyber Defense & Resilience at Deloitte Norway. My technical footprint spans:
- Software Engineering & Applied AI: Designing resilient software architectures, building high-throughput data workflows, and engineering training pipelines for applied AI and deep-learning models (including co-authoring published research on global glacier evolution and paleoclimate reconstructions).
- Security Architecture & Network Engineering: Designing defensible multi-tier architectures, locking down transport layers, and implementing zero-trust network microsegmentation.
- Governance & Critical Infrastructure (IT & OT): Bridging board-level frameworks (ISO 27001) with plant-floor operational realities (IEC 62443), protecting both enterprise data environments and physical industrial control systems.
- Web Development & Systems Tooling: Writing clean, scalable full-stack web applications, automation scripts, and custom tooling that solve real operational bottlenecks.
- Hands-On Physical Engineering: Beyond the screen, I have always been a tinkerer—diagnosing mechanical drivetrains, tuning high-end bicycle mechanics, working with microcontrollers, and building physical workshop setups.

High Performance, Teamwork & Composure Under Pressure
What ties this multidisciplinary technical background together is a standard of performance forged at the absolute highest level of international sports.
Winning an Olympic Gold Medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games in rowing was the culmination of a decade spent pursuing a single objective: reaching the very top of the world. Elite rowing is an extreme study in human teamwork. In a crew boat moving at maximum velocity, individual egos disappear; four athletes must operate as a single synchronized nervous system. It requires total transparency, mutual accountability, and instantaneous communication to adjust when conditions turn hostile.
That experience fundamentally shaped how I lead projects and advise clients today:
- Poise Under Extreme Pressure: In an Olympic final, four years of relentless preparation come down to fractions of a second where panic is not an option. I bring that same calm, methodical composure to high-stakes cybersecurity situations, critical system incidents, and complex cutovers where the margin for error is zero.
- Radical Team Synchronization: Just like aligning a crew, building resilient technology requires pulling cross-functional teams—developers, plant operators, network engineers, and executive leadership—into complete alignment around a shared goal.
- Relentless Pursuit of the Top: I don’t believe in settling for “good enough” systems. Whether analyzing micro-variations in boat telemetry or hardening a critical infrastructure perimeter, true excellence is built on mastering the fundamentals, obsessing over marginal gains, and refusing to cut corners.
If it involves complex systems—digital, physical, or human—I want to understand how it works from first principles, build it to the highest standard, and ensure it holds up under pressure.
My Approach
Analyze & Assess
Evaluating industrial network topologies, routing protocols, and OT systems against standards like IEC 62443 to locate critical vulnerabilities.
Secure & Architect
Designing secure network microsegmentation, locking down lateral threat movement, and building resilient industrial zoning barriers.
Verify & Validate
Ensuring transport layer security, validating complex data transport pipelines, and conducting deep-dive defensive audits.
